I am a film photographer on his journey finding the balance between self-expression and everyday life.
To me photography is all about mystery. From the unpredictable nature of the chemical processes used to create an image to the permanency of the captured moments frozen in time. Maybe that is why I love to take portraits the most. Stories told by emotions brings us the closest to understand who we really are.
I am also fascinated by the marvels of mechanical engineering. Thus I am seriously addicted to precision made cameras and fine optics. But I have managed to overcome my GAS and now I focus on experimenting with everything I have. Trying to create something meaningful and have a lot of fun along the way.

Both pleasing to look at but it’s got to be the film portrait, is that veiling flare? So much more atmospheric than the more modern Fujinion
I would say “swap the positions”. Old tech portrait taken against the light is not the best option. And Fujinon will perform better there. As for now, we compare apples to oranges. For me they are both fruit, and both nice.
Yes, they are quite different. Film vs digital, full frame vs APS-C. But they both have comparable field of view and depth of field. There is no point to make here, I just find it fun to put the apple next to the orange.

There is a bit of flare and also some branches were so close to the lens that they melded away completely.
