About

As the name of this blog suggests I am quite addicted to cameras of all kind and photography in general. Personally, I think it is a pity to not use the wonderful film cameras of yesterday, just because of the convenience of the digital age. I love to play with outdated equipment and sometimes I even develop the films on my own. The whole process is really rewarding for me with all of its uncertainties and disadvantages. Waiting for the lab to get my film developed is a similar experience for me as to wait for Christmas to come as a child. I collect film cameras and I love to use them as much as I can.

At the same time I admire the capabilities of the digital technology and I am not among those who think digital is evil. In my opinion photography is a mapping of the reality and this is always just an approximation regardless of silicon or silver you are shooting on. Of course, different techniques have different properties therefore some prefers one way over another. If you ask me, I would like to try as many ways of taking pictures as possible and get the most out of it.
As a summary this blog is about experimenting with both digital and film technology, small photo projects and hopefully much more. I hope it will be interesting for you.

  4. Jealous of your…compass. My Silva like that broke. Used it as a zipper pull. Great tool for landscape shooters to know where the sun will be.
